What is Rice-Grid Pattern?

The grid is composed of vertical and horizontal lines that intersect to form small squares. These intersections create additional diagonal lines, resembling the shape of Hanzi "米"(Rice), hence the name "rice-grid". Each section within the grid gives clear boundaries and guidelines for the placement and shape of each stroke of a Chinese character.

When using a practicing sheet with the rice-grid pattern, one can better understand the spatial arrangement and symmetry of the characters. It helps in maintaining consistent size and alignment, ensuring that the characters are neatly and aesthetically written. The rice-grid pattern is not only useful for beginners but also for more advanced calligraphers who seek to refine their skills and achieve higher levels of precision and elegance in their writing.
